Machine is brand new and never installed, customer purchased, then changed directions with his company.
The Model 4-8 shown above, is a typical design, similar to one we are quoting below, sized to handle
production volumes of 250-500 square feet per day. Known as the EnviroSystem, our designs are more than
just a recycling solution, they come with the industry’s best warranty and are backed by its strongest customer
service team – because WTS knows that water is the backbone of every stone shop. The “Before & After” photo
shown above depicts some typical pit water next to the crystal clear water our system delivers – guaranteed !! All
Chemical Free!
Design Basis - The EnviroSystem
The primary technology used by the EnviroSystem since 1998 is a filter press. It is sized to deliver a specified
flow rate and to collect and consolidate a certain quantity of solids. As you can see from the photo above, a
variety of system components are also included, configured individually for each shop. With the EnviroSystem
there will be minimal need to use city or well water for your fabrication equipment, essentially just for makeup
due to evaporation.
In an effort to provide the most cost effective water recycling system for your facility, WTS has divided your
water use requirements into two distinct categories:
• Crystal Clear Water: Defined as water that will be fed from your collection pit or sump through the filter
press component of the EnviroSystem. The water will be polished down to 2 microns or less and be used
to cool the water/sawjet intensifier pump, supply CNC spindles and critical polishing applications.
• Gray/White Water: Defined as water that will be fed directly from your transfer tanks or collection sump,
through our transfer pump and GrayTech filtration system. The water will be filtered to roughly 25 microns
and be used at CNC cooling rings, most edge polishers, and non-critical cutting applications.
Please review the following listing carefully, as the EnviroSystem is designed based on the average water
demands of equipment in your fabrication facility and the related solids production of your fabrication process.
Flow Rate Time Operated Average Flow
Equipment Type # of Pieces (GPM) % (GPM) Water Quality Supplied
CNC Saw Saw 2 20 90 18.0 Gray/White
Spindle 2 8 90 7.2 Clear
Edger** 1 35 90 31.5 Gray/White
Hand Polishers 5 5 90 4.5 Clear
68 61.2
**Future
Based upon the information presented above we calculate that the water recycling system for your facility will
need to supply an average flow rate of 49.5 gpm of gray/white water and 11.7 gpm of clear water.
Drawing upon our experience with similar projects, we expect that an EnviroSystem Model #4 with a solids
removal capacity of 4 cubic feet will meet your current clear and gray water demands. The EnviroSystem is
designed to be expandable to 8 cubic feet by simply adding additional plates, to accommodate the growth of your
organization as well as certain unknowns in your cutting and polishing operations or methods. Your cleaning
frequency is based on production levels and fabrication methods, which vary from shop to shop.
Our patented design is what sets us apart from any other filtration or recycling system. WTS produces crystal
clear water, filtered to less than 2 micron, clear and clean enough for all water jets (except the intensifier pump
which must use city water), CNC spindles, surface and hand polishers – all your critical polishing and cutting
needs. We stand behind this statement with our written lifetime “guarantee” that our system will perform as we
state, provided you maintain it as we instruct.
The filter press in this system can include a manual or semi-automatic design. The main difference has to do with
the cleaning cycle, which either takes roughly 1.5-2 hours in the manual design, or about 30 minutes with the
semi-automatic design. Please review the video on our web site that demonstrates how easy it is to clean one of
our larger filter presses at http://watertreatmentonline.com/videos/
For equipment that does not require crystal clear water, our patented GrayTech filtration component removes
most of the sediment in the gray water down to about 25 microns by incorporating centrifugal and cross flow
separation technologies. There is no need to replace filters, simply rinsing off the inner screen is all that is
required.
This improved gray water is now being used by most companies for certain “non-critical” polishing and cutting
applications, and at CNC cooling rings or halos, rather than using high volumes of clear water generated by the
filter press, and to reduce the accumulation of sediment in the delivery lines, solenoids and valves.
The system allows for easy cleaning and disposal of the sediment produced in your process (as shown in the photo
included on page 1, lower left side). Given the specifics of this proposal, a scope of supply is presented herein
that lists the various components that are required for the EnviroSystem to meet your needs.
